Leshan City, formerly known as Jiazhou and Jiading Prefecture, also known as Chuaner City, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province and is located in central Sichuan. In the 12th year of Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty (1734), Leshan County was established in Jiading Prefecture.
